May your day be filled with the joy of Christmas.
Spread the love and kindness on this wonderful day.
I didn't get the chance to celebrate this Christmas with my family, but instead, exams are around the corner. *sigh*
That's alright, because it's only 16 more days till going back to my home country (Indonesia).
Okay, back to the main purpose of this post. As the title said - what is love?
I must say, it has been a rough and eventful year. So many things have happened this year, and all that happened have changed my perspective on many different things.
To be honest, my love life has been quite in a mess lately. Growing up made me realize that it is no longer about finding your prince charming, it isn't as simple as that. Instead, it's all about being with a guy who can accept yourself, a guy who will always be there through your best and worst times, a guy who will get along well with your family, a guy who is willing to sacrifice and many many many other things. It is not as simple as how I used to think about love is.
But through all the things that have happened this year - I have learned, I am still learning and will always learn to change myself into a better person each day. As I have mentioned before on my first blog post, I am ready to turn over a new leaf and use my past mistakes as a lesson learned.
What's done is done. Growing up taught me that love isn't gonna be as simple as just two people being happily together. I used to envy my other couple friends, but, I guess the other side is always greener. Now then I realized that people only choose to show you what they want you to see and you will never know what truly happened behind. No relationship is as flawless as those in the fairy tales and romance movies.
Love - sacrifices and compromise. Unnecessary words are usually said when two people fight but that doesn't mean they don't love each other. It is usually through such trials and tribulations when two people get to know and understand each other better by airing their grievances.
When we get hurt, we bring the pain to others, whether it's intentional or unintentional.
Love is about being selfless. It makes you weaker and stronger at the same time. I feel that one can only feel true happiness when they've experienced true pain. Only we, ourselves, know what is right and wrong for ourselves. No one can truly define your own happiness.

The epitome of love is different for each one of us. We have our own unique ways to show our affection and I guess only we can truly define what true love is through our own experience.
Love is not blind, it makes you see everything - the good and the bad.
All those are just some thoughts that have been bothering me these past few days. So glad that I am able to share it with you guys. Hope this post is able to help or even inspire you guys. Feel free to drop me a comment or question, I will be more than willing to answer them. :)
